in the corner of that room in his New York apartment, the city casts my shadow onto his walls.
this new interest in shadows is in part an imagination of new realities not dissimilar from my own. the shadow is mine—it comes from me. the shadow appears in elongated or dismantled ways. those unfamiliar and desired proportions must then also be me and mine.
shadows reveal how i am not seen by projecting from me what i am.
