for robin. for us love warriors.

apprehensions of love and fluidity of emotions is how i once described this series, and perhaps that was once true. robin was my first muse. we created passionately together and inspired each other. this, here, the water series as it has come to be known, is my best rendering of our love together. the images are contact prints of digital negatives exposed through moving water onto fiber based paper. 

For This Love :: after a year of creating with robin and then moving to opposite coasts, i seriously felt loss. my first muse. then, my only muse. robin and i are not with each other for now. i never knew how desperately i needed robin and our series together. for months i swam in the ocean hoping to find robin again in the water’s textures. i long for you, robin.

today, For This Love is robin and my proof of intensity: we were love warriors together. she and i often talk about creating together again, when the time is perfect. and whether or not we have a future together, our past is prolific and enough. robin, i miss you. i love you.
